Antarctica: Cruise Aboard the National Geographic Explorer

Visit Antarctica, one of the last remote and wild places on Earth, on the National Geographic Explorer. In this immersive experience, you will go ashore to hike for spectacular views, visit a penguin colony, and use a kayak for personal exploration. For a more relaxed experience, you can also head to the bow to watch the ship slice through the ice, pick up tips from an onboard National Geographic photographer, and explore the undersea from the cozy lounge via live footage captured by an undersea specialist. Throughout your journey, Caltech professor and oceanographer Andrew Thompson will share his research studying ocean currents and eddies to understand their impact on Earth’s ecology and climate.
