Bill Sharman, fondly known as “Squeeze,” grew up in San Diego, CA and entered Caltech in 1971. A resident of Lloyd House, Squeeze played football and numerous intramural sports. He was an Air Force ROTC Cadet and was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the US Air Force after graduation. He served for 4 years in Acquisitions in the Systems Program Office at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He remained in the Air Force Reserves and retired as a Lt. Colonel. After his active duty service, Squeeze entered Harvard Business School, where he completed an MBA. He spent his professional career at Hughes Missile and Raytheon, where he was a program manager.
At the center of Squeeze’s life were his dear wife, Aly and their wonderful daughter Morgan. They were with him, along with Morgan’s partner, Roz Richards, when he passed away on March 14, 2022 of ALS. He is also survived by many family members and dear friends.Squeeze never knew a stranger. He was a vibrant man who was full of life and love. He will be missed by all who knew him. The world has lost a bright light without him.
