It’s strange to think about how much one can learn and grow, but how comparatively little one can achieve independently, over the course of several months.
In May and June, I got a taste for the state legislative process. I’m more convinced that state policy changes, via legislation, are the necessary route for implementing a plurality of proposed housing crisis solutions.
In the most recent two months of my project, some noteworthy events have occurred. I spent March and the first half of April in Southern California, largely continuing the activities I described in my first update.
It’s been two months since I started my project “Exploring Ways to Tackle California’s Housing Crisis,” which is made possible through the Milton and Rosalind Chang Career Exploration Prize from Caltech.
