Donald Guy Furst, 96, born April 8, 1926 to Guy and Erma Furst in Whittier, California.
He went into the arms of Jesus on October 21, 2022.He was a proud, patriotic American who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He got his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering at CalTech in Pasadena, CA.
He was an expert in gas turbine engine technology, spending most of his working career at AirResearch/Garrett/Honeywell. He was a tennis player from grade school until well after retirement and remained an avid tennis fan all of his life.
Don was a devout Christian, and leaves behind his wife, Millie; four children, Brad, Linda (Michael Moore), Cheryl (Norman Bean), and Doug Riegert (Becky); seven grandchildren, Monica, Joseph, Lisa, Jonathan, Melody, Megan, Jeremy and12 great grandchildren.Memorial Services are planned for November 12th at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Scottsdale, 7025 E. Osborn Rd., Scottsdale. Donations may be made in Donald’s name to First Baptist Church of Scottsdale.
