Working with Fellow Alumni: Volunteer Opportunities
Regional Programs Volunteer
Description: Assist Alumni staff with planning and executing local events including educational, cultural, social and family programs.
Time frame: Year Round
Location: Anywhere
Time commitment: Ad hoc email and phone correspondence plus 1 day/evening for the event itself

Monthly Lunch Volunteer
Description: Schedule and coordinate local monthly lunches for alumni. Make arrangements, determine speaker, etc. Recruit additional volunteers as needed. Alumni Association manages the marketing and RSVPs.
Time frame: Year Round
Location: Local restaurant
Time commitment: 3 hours per month including lunch

Seminar Day Organizer
Description: Obtain engaging Caltech faculty/postdoc/student speakers with interesting subjects for our annual Seminar Day
Time frame: September – May
Location: On campus
Time commitment: Three meetings in September, November and April; faculty and division chair meetings in September and October; session chair at Seminar Day on the third Saturday in May

Class Reunion Chair
Description: Select and recruit your committee, and support the Class Gift committee's efforts. Call at least one major meeting with the committee to brainstorm unique reunion activities and delegate responsibilities. Plan and implement reunion marketing strategy (e.g. calling/email/writing campaign; humorous mailing; etc.) Submit final details on all class reunion events to the Alumni Association by deadline (December 15). Follow up with committee for final implementation of Reunion Weekend (coincides with Seminar Day). Each reunion committee can plan as few or as many events as desired, and can market as little or as much as desired. The more events and the more marketing you do means that more of your classmates are likely to attend.

Location: Reunion is on campus, but committee can meet via phone/email or on campus

Description: Contact class members and plan Class Reunion Program. See Class Reunion Chair description.

Location: Anywhere (ability to be on campus for reunion events is preferred but not required)

House Reunion Chair
Description: Identify and plan activities to complement student- and CAA-planned events. Recruit additional committee members. Call at least one major meeting with the committee to brainstorm unique reunion activities and delegate responsibilities. Plan and implement reunion marketing strategy (e.g. calling/email/writing campaign; humorous mailing; etc.) Submit final details on all house reunion events to the Alumni Association two months prior to event. Coordinate facilitation of reunion day activities. Each reunion committee can plan as few or as many events as desired, and can market as little or as much as desired.
