System Maintenance
The alumni mail sever will be offline for maintenance beginning at 5:00 pm Pacific time on Saturday, November 14. We expect services back online by 12 midnight.
Phishing Scam
The Caltech Alumni Association will never ask you for your email password. If you should receive an email that appears to come from Caltech and asks you to reply with your password, delete it immediately. It is a scam and was not sent by Caltech. An example of such an email can be found here.
Passwords
See this page from Caltech's IMSS office about proper password selection.
Email Storage Space Doubled
As a thank you to our members, we have doubled alumni email account storage space to 200MB.
Account Information
When you join the Caltech Alumni Association you may activate an alumni email account (username@alumni.caltech.edu). This account remains active as long as your membership is up-to-date, and is an actual email account - not just a forwarding address (although you can use it that way if you wish) with 200MB of mailbox space and up to 10MB for attachments. Use of the alumni email server is subject to the terms of our Acceptable Use Policy.
How do I get an account?
You must be a member of the Caltech Alumni Association to use your alumni email address.
If you are not a member, visit our membership page for further information about the benefits of joining. If you are unsure as to your membership status, call the Association at 626/395-8364 to speak with a membership staff person, or email us.
If you are a member, you can request an account online.
If you have additional questions about email services, please contact the Alumni Association at email@alumni.caltech.edu or call at 626/395-8365.
What are some features of the alumni email account?
- Log in anywhere using the Web interface
- User-specified forwarding
- Support for IMAP clients
- 200MB of storage
